Anderson Road Hawthorn East Multi Function Pavilion
Undertaken for the City of Boroondara, this project took an existing,underutilised community facility and reconfigured its use to include a local branch of the R.S.L., two Kindergarten rooms, Maternal Child Health Facility, Community Hall and Change Rooms for the adjoining sports grounds. In reconfiguring the existing building we were able to create a facility that has truly been embraced by the local community and is used in one form or another most days of the week.
With the high occupancy of the building and its location, the building is maintained by easy and passive security.
