Richmond warehouse conversion
A desire to meet both local heritage requirements and a complex client brief entailing a three-bedroom family home as well as a large home office resulted in this three-storey, split-level dwelling being constructed within the shell of a single-story brick warehouse building that covered 100% of the inner-city site.

Through the judicious locating and arrangement of zones, uses and ceiling heights, it was possible to contain three levels within a building envelope comparable to the adjacent two-storey dwelling, whilst still retaining a generous sense of space and a comfortable and logical relationship between rooms.
